In de muziektheatervoorstelling Passion of Mary Magdalene geeft de Britse componiste Tansy Davies het woord aan Maria Magdalena als hoofdpersoon. Het werk verkent thema's als verlies, transformatie en wedergeboorte, waarbij het christelijke verhaal wordt verweven met Egyptische opstandingsmythes rond Isis en Osiris. De voorstelling maakt gebruik van de poëzie van Ruth Fainlight en bevat vitale, fysieke muziek.
