Shintaro Sakamoto is a Tokyo-based Japanese music composer, producer, writer, and singer. He started his career in 1989 with the psych-rock band Yura Yura Teikoku, serving as their guitarist and vocalist for over two decades. After the group disbanded in 2010, Sakamoto launched a solo career and established his own label, zelone records. He has since released several acclaimed solo albums, including 'How To Live With A Phantom', 'Let’s Dance Raw', 'Love If Possible', and 'Like A Fable'. Known for his eclectic style, he has toured internationally and collaborated with artists such as Mayer Hawthorne, Devendra Banhart, and Leon Michels. His fifth solo album, 'Yoo-hoo', was released in early 2026.
