Amsterdam-born trumpeter Ian Cleaver, now a notable figure in New York’s jazz scene, returns to his roots for a live performance. Cleaver began improvising at a young age and has performed internationally since sixteen. His training includes the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Manhattan School of Music under mentors like Buster Williams and Jon Faddis. Cleaver has collaborated with legends such as Han Bennink and George Coleman, and recently released his debut as a composer and bandleader, 'Yarn!' in February 2025. For this Friday Night Live event, he is joined by a quartet featuring guitar, bass, and drums.
