Kastalsky, whose compositions shaped the development of Russian sacred choral music and influenced composers such as Sergei Rachmaninoff. The programme features selections from the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom for female voices, psalms for male choir, and authentic early Russian chants performed by soloist Hasan El-Dunia.
