Underground, αργή βραδιά contemporary classical
A mesmerising sequence of sung, played and communally-devised performances, marking the opening of the Always, Already There weekend. The event features an immersive sequence from Chiron Choir alongside solos from trumpeter Aaron Akugbo and harpist Chris Clarke. Performances are also given by members of the newly-formed Always Already There ensemble and the New Music Society from Guildhall School of Music, directed by Anthony R. Green. Following the hour-long concert, join curator Elaine Mitchener and Barbican Head of Music Helen Wallace for a post-show talk to discuss the project's creation and the weekend's offerings.
