Julia Wolfe’s powerful multimedia oratorio commemorates the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, where 146 young garment workers, mostly immigrants, lost their lives. This haunting work for orchestra and a massive youth choir transforms historical tragedy into a deeply moving and topical musical experience. The performance also features the Dutch premiere of Moussa's Nocturne.
