Presented by Belongó, GRAMMY Award-winning pianist, composer, and bandleader Arturo O’Farrill leads the 18-piece Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra. Continuing their 29-year-long weekly NYC residency, the band performs a broad spectrum of repertoire from celebrated Latin classics to original compositions and contemporary works by some of the most impactful musicians in the city. Arturo O’Farrill is a Mexican-American pianist, composer, and bandleader known for his genre-defying virtuosity and commitment to social justice. A 6-time GRAMMY and 2-time Latin GRAMMY winner, he bridges the gap between Latin rhythms, modern jazz, and contemporary composition. He is the founder and artistic director of both the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra (ALJO) and Belongó.
