Wobbly Rail Five is a contemporary jazz quintet co-led by saxophonists Chris Biscoe and Pete Hurt. Named after steam trains and a Cecil Taylor piece, the group explores dynamic, melodic, and rhythmic modern jazz, performing original works by Hurt, Biscoe, and pianist Liam Noble, alongside arrangements of compositions by Thelonious Monk. The rhythm section features bassist Steve Watts and drummer Sophie Alloway.
