Tonic is a Grammy-nominated American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1993 by childhood friends Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo. The group gained significant fame with their 1996 debut album Lemon Parade, which featured hits like If You Could Only See and spent over a year on the Billboard charts. After contributing to several major film soundtracks and releasing their second album Sugar in 1999, the band earned two Grammy nominations for their 2002 record Head on Straight. Following a brief hiatus where members pursued solo projects and other collaborations, the group reunited in 2008 and continues to tour and release music, including their self-titled fourth album in 2010.
