Νοσταλγική βραδιά british post-rock
Seit Mitte der neunziger Jahre bauen die Musiker aus Glasgow an monumentalen Instrumentalstücken, die mehr Landschaft als Lied sind. Weite, düster schimmernde Klangräume, in denen Gitarren plötzlich zu Stürmen anschwellen und ebenso abrupt wieder in Stille zurückfallen. Zum dreißigjährigen Jubiläum geht die Band erneut auf Europatournee. Elf Studioalben später ist ihr Sound unverwechselbar geblieben: brachiale Gitarrenwände, fragile Elektronik und Momente von fast schmerzlicher Schönheit. Wer Mogwai wirklich verstehen will, muss sie live erleben.
