Cindy Blackman Santana Group headlines an all-women jazz lineup at the Lena Horne Bandshell. Blackman Santana, a virtuoso drummer whose 40-year career spans jazz, rock, and funk, performs alongside the Patricia Brennan Septet and vocalist Lucía. Patricia Brennan's ensemble explores Afro-Caribbean grooves and avant-garde improvisation, while Lucía, winner of the 2022 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, brings a vision bridging jazz, Latin, and pop. This event is part of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York City’s longest-running, free, outdoor performing arts festival.
