Rosin Octet

The Rosin Octet performs two major works written specifically for string octet. Reinhold Glière's String Octet Op. 5 offers a classic four-movement design with lyrical melodic lines, while Felix Mendelssohn's String Octet Op. 20 is a work of great precision and speed with tightly interwoven textures. The Rosin Octet is a young ensemble featuring eight string players from seven different countries, all based in the Netherlands. The group focuses on octet repertoire and frequently collaborates with contemporary composers on new works. They have performed across Europe and earned numerous accolades, including prizes at the Fontys Willem Twee Chamber Music Competition and the Toonzaal Talent Prize. The performance is held at the historic English Church Amsterdam in the heart of the city, providing an intimate setting for this classical music event.
