Bassoonist and composer Katherine Young celebrates the release of her new album, BIOMES, on Chaikin Records. The performance features the piano-percussion quartet Yarn/Wire performing the immersive work BIOMES 6.0. The evening also includes a world premiere collaboration between Young and electronicist Olivia Block using tape machines, as well as improvisations by Ben LaMar Gay, Brian Chase, and Young. These three distinct voices in creative music bring together electronics, brass, and percussion for a unique sonic exploration.
