Trio Pantoum presents a program featuring the piano trios of Maurice Ravel and Antonín Dvořák. Having previously performed at the Concertgebouw as students of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, the trio returns to perform Ravel's masterpiece, a four-part work composed during the outbreak of WWI that blends Basque folk music with exotic sounds. The program also includes Dvořák's beloved 'Dumky' Trio, which consists of six contrasting folk ballads that alternate between meditative passages and lively Slavonic dances.
