The Amelio Trio performs a diverse program of piano trios at the Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam as part of the Grachtenfestival. The performance features Haydn's elegant Piano Trio in F major, Charles Ives' innovative and contrasting Piano Trio, and concludes with the warm, romantic dialogue of Beethoven's Piano Trio No. 3. Comprising Johanna Schubert, Merle Geissler, and Philipp Kirchner, the Amelio Trio is a close-knit ensemble with international recognition. Having played together since childhood, they have secured prizes at the ARD International Music Competition and the German Music Competition. They were recently selected as ECHO Rising Stars for the 2026/27 season, leading to performances across Europe's major concert halls.
