Frazey Ford
Frazey Ford is a Canadian Americana and soul singer-songwriter, recognized as a founding member of the alt-country group The Be Good Tanyas. Born in Castlegar, British Columbia, she co-founded the band in 1999 and released three albums before the group entered a hiatus in 2008. Ford launched her solo career in 2010 with the debut album Obadiah, which showcased her soulful vocal style and earned critical acclaim. Her follow-up release in 2014, Indian Ocean, further explored Americana and country influences. Her music is characterized by heartfelt, wavering vocals and a blend of soulful and folk-inspired instrumentation.
