The Anansi Writers Workshop was founded in 1990 by Kamau Daood, Akilah Oliver, Nafis Nabawi, and Anthony Lyons. In 1993, Michael Datcher initiated the development of a three-part format for the workshop which continues to foster creative writing and community engagement at The World Stage.
