Swedish doom and stoner power-trio Monolord are recognized for their massive riffs, hypnotic grooves, and emotionally heavy atmospheres. Since their formation in Gothenburg in 2013, the band—composed of guitarist and vocalist Thomas Jäger, drummer Esben Willems, and bassist Mika Häkki—has become a prominent force in modern doom. Their acclaimed discography, featuring records like Empress Rising and No Comfort, showcases a blend of crushing fuzz and melodic depth. Currently, the group is preparing for a new chapter with an upcoming album produced by Sylvia Massy.
