Long Play is an event series dedicated to celebrating notable new releases and giving the album format focused attention. Sessions feature a complete, uninterrupted playback of a selected album in a listening circle, followed by discussion, a Q&A session, and opportunities to acquire a vinyl copy. This session focuses on Het Vreemd, a compilation documenting lost Dutch synthesizer and wave music from 1982 to 1987. Compiled by Rutger Nijkamp from archival tapes inherited from his mother, musician Veronique (Verque), the release revives ten forgotten DIY recordings exploring themes that resonate with the present.

The listening session takes place on October 23, 2026, from 19:30 to 22:00 at KODA located on Makkersstraat 11 in Schiedam near Rotterdam.
