Mei Ehara is a Tokyo-based multidisciplinary artist and musician whose quietly luminous work has established her as a singular voice in contemporary Japanese music. Born in Aichi Prefecture, she began making self-directed films as a student before transitioning to home recording. She released her 2017 debut album Sway followed by Ampersands on independent label KAKUBARHYTHM, earning wide acclaim for her introspective songwriting and warm vocals.
