Pink Martini
Ωμή βραδιά french jazz
Pink Martini is a versatile Jazz and Latin ensemble established in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon. Lauderdale, who originally aimed for a political career, created the "little orchestra" to provide more engaging and inclusive music for fundraisers. He was eventually joined by vocalist China Forbes, and together they composed their first hit single "Sympathetique," which became a major success in France. The group is known for its diverse repertoire, blending jazz, old-fashioned pop, and classical music while performing in 15 different languages. Pink Martini has collaborated with over 50 orchestras globally and performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Despite maintaining their independence through Heinz Records, they have consistently charted internationally with albums like "Hey Eugene!" and "Get Happy."
