SULA

SULA is a new trio project made up of drummer Miranda Radford, bassist Aleks Dimitrova and pianist Kezia Abuoma. All currently studying jazz at Trinity Laban, these exciting young musicians have come up through hailed organisations like Tomorrow’s Warriors, mentored by the likes of Nikki Yeoh, Deschanel Gordon and Will Cleasby. As both bandleaders and sidewomen, they have performed at venues such as The Southbank Centre, The Jazz Cafe and Ronnie Scott’s. Taking inspiration from the likes of Kris Davis, Wayne Shorter and Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, these three unique voices have come together to play both their original compositions and other music inspired by the energetic sounds of modern-day jazz.
