Grammy-nominated pianist Max Haymer brings his high-energy piano trio to Birds of a Feather Jazz Lounge. Known for an "athletic" style that blends jazz standards with modern and Afro-Cuban influences, Haymer delivers a fresh take on the American art form. Haymer is a SouthArts Jazz Roads winner and has received top honors at the Montreux Jazz Festival and Great American Jazz Piano Competitions. Currently serving as the pianist and lead arranger for jazz icon Jane Monheit, he has also spent a decade as the touring pianist and music director for Arturo Sandoval. His performance credits include Clint Eastwood film scores and Sandoval's Grammy-nominated album Rhythm & Soul. A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.
