Testing the Water
Underground, αργή βραδιά idm
Testing the Water migrates to The Old Church in Stoke Newington, an intimate space with gorgeous acoustics and comfortable seating. The event explores slower currents and stranger shapes with live performances and DJ sets. Tristan Arp, the London-based producer and Human Pitch co-founder, performs music that marries modular synths with cello and spoken word. He will collaborate with yingtuitive, a classically trained pianist whose sound draws from Southeast Asian traditions and electronic experimentation. Ecka Mordecai brings her multi-instrumental practice that entwines cello, horsehair harp, voice, and improvisation into expressive emotional objects. Ru, known for the 12th Isle label and his Millennium Dust radio shows, completes the lineup with a set drifting between dubwise pressure and deep-cut selections.
