Chicago Blues εκδηλώσεις στην Αθήνα

Chicago Blues emerged in the mid-20th century as Southern migrants electrified the rural Delta blues within the urban landscape of Chicago. Characterized by the prominent use of amplified electric guitar and distorted harmonica, the genre typically employs a driving 4/4 shuffle rhythm and a standard 12-bar blues progression. The mood is often gritty and emotionally charged, reflecting both the hardships of industrial life and the celebratory spirit of the city’s nightlife. As a crucial evolutionary link, Chicago Blues transitioned acoustic folk traditions into a loud, ensemble-based format that served as the foundational precursor to modern rock and roll and urban soul.
