Boogaloo εκδηλώσεις αυτόν τον μήνα στη Βαρκελώνη

Boogaloo, also known as Latin boogaloo or shing-a-ling, emerged in the mid-1960s New York City as a vibrant fusion of African American rhythm and blues with Afro-Cuban styles like mambo and son montuno. The genre typically features a driving rhythm section consisting of piano montunos, congas, and timbales, often complemented by brassy horn arrangements and bilingual English and Spanish vocals. Characterized by its moderate tempo and infectious, syncopated 4/4 groove, the music evokes a high-energy, party-oriented mood that encouraged integrated social dancing during the Civil Rights era. Serving as a critical bridge between the mambo era and the rise of salsa, boogaloo represents a unique cultural intersection of Latin and soul influences.
