Emotionally, the genre fluctuates between overwhelming intensity and dark, satirical energy, often prioritizing shock value and endurance over conventional melody. Semantically, it occupies the most extreme end of the electronic dance music spectrum, serving as the parent genre to even faster micro-genres like splittercore and extratone while maintaining ties to breakcore.
