Anatolian Rock εκδηλώσεις αυτόν τον μήνα στο Αμβούργο

Anatolian rock emerged in Turkey during the mid-1960s, blending traditional Turkish folk music with contemporary Western rock and roll influences. The genre is uniquely characterized by the fusion of electric guitars and modern synthesizers with traditional Anatolian instruments such as the bağlama, zurna, and darbuka, creating a rich sonic landscape. Rhythmically, it frequently incorporates complex Balkan-style time signatures and ancient modal melodic structures known as makam, while consistently maintaining a driving, rhythmic rock pulse. This genre effectively bridges the gap between Middle Eastern folk traditions and psychedelic rock, conveying evocative moods that range from melancholic and introspective to politically charged and highly energetic.
