Cumbia Santafesina εκδηλώσεις στο Λονδίνο

Cumbia Santafesina originated in the 1970s in the Santa Fe province of Argentina, evolving from the influence of Colombian immigrants who brought the accordion to the region. Distinct from other Argentine variants, it is characterized by the prominent use of either the accordion or the melodic electric guitar, accompanied by driving percussion like the güiro and timbales. The genre typically maintains a moderate tempo with a 2/4 or 4/4 time signature, creating a rhythmic foundation that supports themes ranging from romantic longing to social celebration. It occupies a semantic middle ground between traditional folk rhythms and urban pop, maintaining a strong local identity while influencing the broader South American tropical music scene.
