Parang εκδηλώσεις στο Λονδίνο

Parang is a vibrant folk music genre originating from Trinidad and Tobago, deeply influenced by Venezuelan traditions, and primarily associated with the Christmas season. Characterized by its lively, syncopated rhythms, it typically features acoustic instrumentation such as the cuatro (a small four-string guitar), mandolin, guitar, maracas (known locally as chac-chac), and often a box bass or bass guitar. The music is highly communal and celebratory, with strong vocal melodies and harmonies, often telling stories or expressing festive joy. It shares stylistic elements with other Caribbean and Latin American folk forms, serving as a cornerstone of Trinbagonian Christmas festivities.
