Moravian Folk εκδηλώσεις στην πόλη Πράγα

Moravian folk music originates from the historical region of Moravia, now part of the Czech Republic, and is characterized by its rich melodic and rhythmic diversity. Key instrumentation typically includes the cimbalom (dulcimer), violin, clarinet, double bass, and often accordion or brass, creating a distinctive, often vibrant sound. Rhythms are frequently dance-oriented, incorporating forms like polka, furiant, and the UNESCO-recognized male solo dance, verbuňk, with tempos ranging from moderate to lively. The mood can span from celebratory and festive to deeply melancholic, often reflecting local traditions and storytelling, distinguishing it from Bohemian folk music through its unique scales and instrumental combinations.
