This barely clocks in at an hour which is probably its biggest saving grace 😅 but even at that length the whole thing feels completely underdeveloped. We follow a federal agent and his partner trying to take down a bank robbing syndicate and the movie just rushes from one plot point to the next without giving you a single reason to care about the stakes.Conrad Nagel and Eleanor Hunt actually make a pretty decent team at the center of it all. They have an easy chemistry that makes them watchable but they are fighting an uphill battle against a script that gives them nothing interesting to work with. The entire production just feels slapped together. The directing is incredibly flat, the central mystery unfolds with zero tension and the logic of the investigation skips steps so frequently that it is tough to stay invested in the outcome. It isn't exactly a painful watch since it flies by so fast but the exact second the credits roll, the whole movie just evaporates from your brain 🤷
