I don’t know why Mark Addy is listed here and at IMDB because it’s definitely not him in this movie. There’s a Mark Addy in the end credits but he isn’t close to being the same guy.This sequel is faster paced and the stories are more EC in nature so overall it's an improvement on volume 1.

Production and film direction is far too good for a horror anthology this forgettable. Go watch Satan Place: A Soap Opera from Hell instead. It's the better anthology film.

In 1990,(the late) Mark Shepard and a handful of friends conceived an SOV(Shot-On-Video) horror series called DARK ROMANCES which they originally intended to sell to The Playboy Channel,but needless to say the officials at Playboy found the series too grisly to air on their softcore T&A content-filled network,so Shepard turned to VHS video to distribute it as a two VHS video Volume set(with [at-the-time]popular Scream Queen Brinke Stevens featured in nearly each episode) which many middle aged fans may remember was often advertised in Film Threat issues. Both Volumes are very extremely hard to find,although I did come across a few clips and an episode from Volume Two that has been spotted on YouTube by one of DARK ROMANCES' cinematographer/editor/segment director Samuel Oldham and here is the review for that very episode... SHE'S BAD,SHE'S BLONDE,SHE'S LUNCH (a.k.a: INCIDENT AT LOVER'S LANE) In one of the few DARK ROMANCES episodes to not feature Brinke Stevens,this tales depicts the murderous antics of a couple(Ruth Waytz,Ron Kologne) who are on the run after gorily shooting everyone in a video store and avoiding a local crime lord that they owe lots of money to. They stop off at the local Lover's Lane area of a local park,where they come across a lone man(Fox Harris[REPO MAN,WARLORDS]) who turns out to be a DNA scientist with a mutated beast to feed. Directors Shepard and Oldham give this segment a thickly strong atmospheric look that betrays its SOV roots as the viewers are treated to ambitious camera shots and decent make-up effects by Rood Matsui(THE WEIRDO,WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE ?),as well as a handful of great performances by the cast that help make this segment very watchable and enjoyable. DARK ROMANCES:VOLUME 2 also contains the segments CARDINAL SIN(about a young guy whose religious upbringing and repressive sexual urges[as provided by images of porn star Elle Rio] become his untimely demise),WHAT COMES AROUND(a composer meets his doom at the hands of a new girlfriend[{a blonde wig sporting} Brinke Stevens),LAST LOVE(a psychiatrist haunted by her late husband's ghost),and PET SHOP OF DEATH(a guy meets his fate at a specialty pet store). The entire Volume(along with Volume One) will someday be fully reviewed when I eventually come across it. With the music of Haunted Garage(the band of Dukey Flyswatter[/Michael Sonye]),and the film debut of (future THE FULL MONTY star)Mark Addy.
