Intriguing documentary that seems to be presented as a Fluxus-inspired project in it's own right. Many of the principles are interviewed and one comes away with a portrait of a man who desperately wanted to start an art movement involving artists who wanted nothing to do with being a part of it. His attempts to organize them were so relentless and passionate that they became an art unto themselves, evolving into a series of public performances, the most famous of which was destroying an entire piano. You can see the roots of other, more confrontational art collectives like COUM being born out of this and many of the performances look as thought provoking as they do pointless and absurd. It's an interesting peek at an intensely creative period and it's fun to see artists like Yoko Ono and John Cage in a different light. Nam June Paik is particularly delightful, laughing hysterically at his memory of the whole thing, and that may just be the point
