Was really ready to hate this based on the reactions and insane volume of walkouts but it turns out Refn doing bozo blade runner/space princess/daddy issues/mommy issues/crystallized trauma/shirtless Charles Melton/samurai mist serial killer giallo is kind of a vibe. The form is the function, people! Have been far more bored in several movies at this fest, despite not much happening I was able to go along for the ride and actually found the ending quite moving. Whole cast is great! The score is sooo good. I’m fine dying on this hill as long as it’s by katana in bisexual lighting
