Ooii~, Ooiii~, Ooiiii~Koji Shiraishi is back with another occult found footage essential. 20 years after the release of Noroi, KINKI feels in many ways like a spiritual successorThere are some incredibly creative and delightfully creepy segments in here. I love the use of various forms of media, from classic VHS tapes to creepypasta videos to modern-day livestream footage (complete with the chat reactions scrolling across the screen). The variety keeps things feeling fresh and leaves you wondering what new trick Shiraishi will pull next. While I do miss a bit of the grittiness of Noroi, it's undeniably awesome to see what Shiraishi is able to pull off with a bigger budget. Needless to say, this is a must watch for any found footage horror fans"Ooooiiiii come to the mountain, I have persimmons for youuu"
