Really clicked with this, a genuinely hilarious and often poignant maelstrom of relatable Catholic guilt (I'm Orthodox but close enough). Love when movies have such slick, purposeful editing and cinematography choices. Jake Ryan is a star. If I had to rank every movie that drops the Wind Waker title screen in the first 30 seconds, you better believe this one's topping the list
lilith's sweet smile as she and john held hands for the first time in the church was such a lovely little moment. just the pure magic of coming-of-age filmmaking. really tender film. manages to capture teenage confusion and religious guilt with a raw indie style that had me equally as charmed as i was uncomfortable.
