Good evening from the United States. Chad here. Recently I promised a review on a Japanese movie dealing with serious topics. That review will come soon enough. Instead here is a fun British horror that's about ASMR but in the worst way. Huh, autonomous sensory meridian response. I had to look up the meaning to ASMR because really I didn't know what the hell it meant. Anyway review time. SPOILING YOUDrew ( Stephen Kerr ) is a lonely man who loves to watch ASMR on the internet relaxing while listening to his favorite fantasy girl. Drew finds peace and solace when Miss Mutters ( Megan Tremethick--Dragon Knight ) whispers the words on Drew's screen: 'Looks like you had a hard day. Are you ready for a little fun?'When Drew wins a contest to meet Miss Mutters in person, he can hardly contain his excitement. He is really through the roof and over the moon! What is Miss Mutters like in person? Pretty good horror movie. Megan Tremethick has that ASMR tone down pat whispering and pauses in the middle of her sentences and throughout her dialouge. Fun actress. Loved her as the assassin in the midevil action film Dragon Knight and she also graces my backdrop in Spoiling You. She is my favorite part in the movie Ghost Crew. I'll gladly bring more attention to her in future reviews being a fan of her and Scottish director Lawrie Brewster. Can't fall asleep? What works for me is putting my dvd of episodes from 1990 Wheel of Fortune on from the Vanna's Blue Jeans week. When Vanna White bends down to turn the letter I'll admittedly hit the pause button and the zoom button on my remote. After umm... 2 minutes thinking about Vanna, it's time for a power nap. Never fails. I find that 11pm is the best time for happy time.Lol I'm just kidding. I don't wear a watch 😆Well folks Miss Mutters seems pretty frisky for attention. It's what Miss Mutters want. Her new guest expects his personal ASMR session to have real taste, real excitement. Yes she is a sexy hot number dressed in a maids uniform with kitten ears in scrumptious anime style. Yes Drew just wants a taste of the real deal, but unknown to Drew the main ingredient is horror.SPOILER ALERT: There are no anime inspired panty shots in this movie. That will be spoiling you too much. You know off the subject, all Vanna White has to do is touch the square to display the letter. Man that's cheating. Hardly any bending of the body is required. But I can always use my imagination. Trippy movie. I can imagine Henrietta Pussycat ( Mister Rodgers Neighborhood )say: Meow meow, Miss Mutters is nuts!Or perhaps Butthead ( Beavis and Butthead ) say: Heh heh heh Miss Mutters. Want another?Now that joke will work, if Miss Mutters actually had babies.That ASMR wouldn't work for me anyway. Thehost will talk way to low for me to understand. She would say,' HI baby. I've been waiting for you all day. Are you ready to play?'My response will be: ' What?!? I can't hear you. Speak up please!'I have some limited hearing when it comes to trying to listen to soft voices. This is courtesy of Ted Nugent music cranked up loud and good. Well with Cornish actress Megan Tremethick dressed in cosplay, she instantly gives me cat scratch fever and my temperature is high baby! Yup Miss Mutters is a creepy kitty when her claws are out. In closing I enjoyed this independent horror feature. It's a slow burn at first but there is something cooking as the tension begins to boil some. And this is a ASMR horror movie. A new genre? You never know. Megan Tremethick also directs and is one of the producers. The other two are the talented director Lawrie Brewster ( whom wrote Spoiling You ) and fun writer Sara Daily as the other producer. Check this stuff out.You know those Obama phones don't have those ASMR internet shows. I don't think they do. Maybe I should down grade on my phone plan. There are lots of weirdos out there. Better safe than sorry 🎥Update: a hour laterAccording to Lawrie Brewster's Letterboxd review that really was Megan's singing voice. So this gets bumped up half a star! Kapow 🌟
