From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Anders Ek (7 April 1916 – 17 November 1979) was a Swedish film actor. He was born in Gothenburg, Sweden and died in Stockholm. He was married to Birgit Cullberg and is the father of dancer Mats Ek and actress Malin Ek. Anders Ek was a Swedish actor (1916–1979) primarily known for his work in theatre and his frequent collaborations with legendary filmmaker Ingmar Bergman.
He is best known for his pivotal roles in Ingmar Bergman's filmography, including The Seventh Seal, Cries and Whispers, and Sawdust and Tinsel.
