Amir Shervan was an Iranian-born filmmaker who transitioned from a career in Iranian cinema to producing and directing distinctive, low-budget American action films.
He is widely recognized for his cult classic action films including Samurai Cop, Killing American Style, and Hollywood Cop.
His American output is characterized by his unique, often idiosyncratic approach to the action genre that has earned him a devoted following in the trash-cinema community.
