Doka Live x Paradiso w/ Miso Extra
The name might give it away: Miso Extra draws plenty of inspiration from Japanese culture, with the occasional wink to anime. It’s the solo project and alter ego of the fast-rising artist. Born in Hong Kong to a British father and Japanese mother, she spent part of her childhood in Japan before moving to the UK. From a young age, she discovered a love for music—learning to play the violin and singing to her heart’s content. Her sound is shaped by icons like J Dilla, MF DOOM, Daft Punk, and Kelis. With these influences and her Japanese heritage, Miso Extra creates a quirky, distinctive world she calls “the Misoverse.” She recently released a new single titled Good Kisses in collaboration with well-known indie band Metronomy.
