Jonge ster-violist Randall Goosby
Bekende én herontdekte werken voor viool en piano Awards, scholarships, legendary teachers, working with famous conductors, a Stradivarius and concerts around the world; but also working with charities, giving concerts in schools and hospitals and mentoring young students. Randall Goosby is a rising star, but one with an eye for the world around him: "For me personally, music has been a way to inspire others." Goosby studied with Itzhak Perlman and recorded his latest CD with none other than Yannick Nézet-Seguin. This cd-features two violin concertos by the long-overlooked Florence Price, as well as the famous Max Bruch Violin Concerto. In this concert, too, he creates such a combination: Alongside the well-known composers Mozart and Schubert, the programme includes works by rediscovered composers Joseph Bologne de Saint-Georges, Florence Price, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and William Grant Still.
