Known as one of the most influential American black metal bands, Profanatica delivers a raw and uncompromising sonic assault. Formed by former members of Incantation, the band originally split in 1992 but reformed in 2001. Their history is marked by a storied underground presence, including the infamous destruction of master tapes for an unreleased early album and various recordings that later surfaced under different projects like Havohej.
