Spiritbox

Spiritbox is a Canadian metalcore band from Vancouver, formed by Courtney LaPlante (vocals) and Mike Stringer (guitar). At the crossroads of progressive metal, djent, and immersive electronic textures, the band cultivates a sound that is both massive and atmospheric. At its heart, Courtney LaPlante's striking vocals, capable of shifting from soaring melodies to abyssal growls, create an instantly recognizable signature sound. After a well-received debut EP in 2017, two new members joined the duo: Bill Crook (bass) and Ryan Loerke (drums). Spiritbox reached a new milestone in the summer of 2020 with the single "Holy Roller," a true shockwave on the international metal scene. Their success continued with Eternal Blue in 2021, a debut album that garnered critical acclaim and reached number 13 on the Billboard Top 200. In March 2025, the band continued their ascent with Tsunami Sea , further solidifying the richness and depth of their sonic identity.
