De herdenking is een moment van gezamenlijk luisteren en bewustwording. Het programma bestaat uit persoonlijke toespraken, muziek en spoken word. Voor kinderen is er een creatieve plek ingericht. Parallel aan de herdenking is in Gebouw De Heuvel een tentoonstelling te zien over het genocideproces. Thema 2026: historisch bewustzijn en preventie.
