Arturo O'Farrill is a six-time Grammy-winning pianist, composer, and bandleader who stands as a prominent figure in Afro-Latin jazz. Raised in New York and born in Mexico City, he serves as the artistic director and founder of the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra and Belongo. His work masterfully integrates Latin rhythms and jazz with contemporary composition, driven by a commitment to social justice and cultural preservation. This performance is part of the 2026 Queens Jazz Trail Concert Series, presented by the Kupferberg Center for the Arts and several partner organizations.
