AMPFEMININE is a Rotterdam-based DJ collective and platform centering femme and BIPOC artists through genre-fluid, high-energy club sounds. Founded in 2019 as a response to the lack of diversity in the local scene, the collective pushes bass-heavy, percussive, and experimental styles. With a commitment to community-building, AMPFEMININE curates events, workshops, and cultural collaborations that amplify underrepresented voices in electronic music. For their KODA curation, members of AMPFEMININE DEBORAH X, Bella Hall and Soft Break will weave their sounds alongside the poetry of Zazie Zimmers (Emma Blom). DEBORAH X brings direct injections of hard hitting sounds that flow straight to the bloodstream. An irresistible force in the booth, she whips up dancefloor frenzies with track selections that you just can’t ignore, unrestrained by any single style. Bella Hall is a rising star of the Dutch circuit with her infectiously bumping blends of all things sub-bass and breaks. Her sets are always filled with the juxtaposition of the dark and euphoric, and she has recently started a residency at Echobox with her show “Garlic & Onions”, returning to her music collection to inspire small deep-dive mixes. Soft Break weaves together energy-fueled aural narratives that twist and turn like an unpredictable dream. Her sound is shaped by the echoes of jungle, dubstep, and grime. Soft Break has left her mark across renowned clubs nationally and internationally. Emma Blom is a Rotterdam-based poet and writer. She writes for poetry magazine Awater, has taken part in poetry circle 010. Poetry is an integral part of her life and every form that it comes. Her poems are soft, vulnerable and metaphorical.
