Bandgurl666 Presents: Docile Bodies Album Release Docile Bodies present their debut album, Light Will Come Our Way. Tilburg-Amsterdam collective Docile Bodies is known for their belligerent but romantic brand of post punk. Their combination of grand, canorous guitar sounds and ardently preached vocals easily sways between the more wavy and more punk oriented manners within the spectrum of their genre. Within their music, they perceptively concentrate on themes such as art, nature and family, while also contemplating notions of monotony and the value of hope. So far, they have released an EP and a handful of singles. Monolith began the last, released on US label Á La Carte. The band has performed at festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Here’s The Thing, Geleen Calling and Offroad. Their debut album Light Will Come Our Way will be released on the 11th of October. As Lo, musician, vocalist and producer Loïs de Vries writes serene, mysterious pop music that combines aspects of dream pop, ambient and folk. Inspired by textures from nature, she uses atmospheric, polyphonic vocals and baroque-like melodies to create a world reminiscent of misty forests shrouded in cautious sunbeams and dewdrops. VONDER is a project from the Netherlands formed by Ellenor Vora and Benjamin Sch (Noire Antidote). Both talented musicians have the darker edges in their fingers when it comes to bringing a melancholic setting. Haunting, dark melodious electronic sounds combined with strong and intense lyrics.
