That’s the motto of System Revival Records from Lebanon, who are curating our first listening session of may. Immerse yourself in the selections of Wata Igarashi & Laura BCR. As one of Japan’s leading DJ’s, Wata Igarashi has developed a clear sound of his own. He brings together the euphoric and psychedelic, with his music standing out for its crystalline structures and shimmering intensity. He has released well-received EPs on Midgar, The Bunker NY, and DJ Nobu’s Bitta label, as well as standout tracks on compilations on Semantica and Time to Express. Taking her name from the now-shuttered Berlin community hub and record store Bass Cadet Recordstore, Laura BCR now channels her wide-ranging taste and keen sense for curation into her DJ sets and productions. Her DJ sets are known for their transportive, atmospheric qualities and a sound that layers deep techno and dubbed-out ambient.
