Vintage Voudou dance night ★ 15th Anniversary ft Alex Figueira

Since 2010 Amstersdam’s original Tropical party with sweet & raw vintage music “The Vintage Voodoo Experience” saw the light of day in 2010 Alex Figueira started a series of tropical parties in CANVAS in Amsterdam, inviting seminal tropical DJs like Hugo Mendez ( @sofritosound), Paulo Goncalves (Superfly), Antal, Rickard Masip and Maddie Ruthless.In 2012 Alex teamed up with Edo Bouman to start a tiny record shop under the name Vintage Voudou in the Red Light Radio complex, next to Red Light Records. From 2019 Edo started organizing the parties @mezrab in collaboration with programmer Rogier Lammers, carrying on the Voudou torch. Through the years we were happy to host so many fabulous tropical guest DJs: Chris Menist, Coco Maria, Discodelica & TNT Discos, Don Alirio, Duo Penossi, Fred Kramer (Souma), Fredrik Lavik (Afro 7), Funky Bompa, JJ Whitefield, Mambo Chick, Lava on Wax, Palo Santo Discos, Phillippe Noel (Canicule Tropical), Radio Martiko and Rozaly. ★ 29th of March we’ll celebrate 15 years of Vintage Voudou at Mezrab Founding Father Alex Figueira will spin.
